Cardell Smith classifies himself as “A Master of Behavioral Science;” how a person creates the results they do with their body, brain and mind. His studies have led him to those individuals in science, religion and life who achieve excellence; moving outside the box, unlimited by tradition.

The following authors, mentors, teachers and masters have influenced Cardell's life dramatically. He has taken the wisdom from their works and applied it in his own life, trainings and coaching with thousands of individuals, as well as this website. You will find quotes throughout this website from some of them and they are numbered below for your convenience to reference.

Cardell would like to express his gratitude and appreciation to the following for their dreams, visions and persistent search for truth and for their courage in sharing it with the world.

My Mentors - Listed alphabetically: (Notes from Cardell following each entry)

1. James Allen

James Allen's inspirational writings have influenced millions. His literary career was short, lasting only nine years. During that period he wrote nineteen books, a rich outpouring of ideas that have lived on to inspire later generations. He tells us how thought leads to action. He shows us how to turn our dreams into realities. As a young boy, I read the book, "As a Man Thinketh," which had a tremendous affect on me and started me on the journey to discovering self and unlimited possibilities.

2. Richard Bandler and John Grinder - Founders of NLP

Bandler and Grinder started a revolutionary new science called NLP. I came into contact with NLP in the late 1980's, and it gave me a model of human behavior that was remarkable in my life and in my coaching. My personal power and skills moved to a new level of possibilities and miraculous results.

3. Deepak Chopra

He is acknowledged worldwide as a leader in mind/body medicine. He has written over 20 books and owns Chopra Center for Well Being in La Jolla, CA. He is continually helping humankind stretch beliefs about what is possible in creating our own health. Dr. Deepak Chopra opened my mind up to new possibilities and inspired me to look deeper inside to find my true potential.

4. Stephen Covey

Dr. Stephen R. Covey is an internationally respected leadership authority, family expert, teacher, organizational consultant, and co-chairman of Franklin Covey Co. He is also the author of several acclaimed books, including The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I read the 7 Habits the year it was published and have studied every book of his.

5. Dr. Wayne Dyer

Wayne Dyer is one of the most widely known people in the field of personal empowerment. His many books have profoundly influenced my life, starting with his first, "Your Erroneous Zone" to his most recent, "The Power of Intention." A remarkable man who uses his fame and wisdom to help the human condition. He is a great Mentor to me.

6. Lynn Grabhorn

Lynn Grabhorn wrote an amazing book called "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting," and in very down-to-earth language shows us how our feelings, not our thoughts, act like magnets to attract experiences, whether good or bad. It is about our vibrations, we attract what we are vibrating. Very useful in my life and I have recommended it to many.

7. Jerry and Ester Hicks

Jerry and Ester Hicks produce and present the leading edge Abraham-Hicks teachings on the Law of Attraction and the Art of Allowing our natural Well-Being to come forth. While presenting open workshops in up to 60 cities a year, they've created more that 600 books, audios, CDs, and videos. Their teachings have been instrumental in my work regarding the implementation of accessing the quantum field as an observer and creating the nature of our own personal realities.

8. Tad James - Founder of Time Line Therapy

Tad James came into my life in the early 90’s with the advanced technology “Time Line Therapy” that allows a person to use on themselves or coach others to immediately step into the subconscious, yet be wide awake, allowing learning and changes in the unconscious mind. It is simple, fast and has a profound effect in rewriting events, past, present and future.

9. Dr. Ervin Laszlo

He is the author editor of seventy four books translated into twenty languages, and has over four hundred articles and research papers and six volumes of  piano recordings to his credit. He serves as editor of the monthly World Futures: The Journal of General Evolution and of its associated General Evolution Studies book series. Laszlo is generally recognized as the founder of systems philosophy and general evolution theory, serving as founder-director of the General Evolution Research Group and as past President of the International Society for the System Sciences. He was awarded the 2004 Goi Peace Prize in Japan, and he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004 and re-nominated in 2005.

10. Dr. Bruce Lipton

A former medical school professor and research scientist discovered in his research that genes and DNA do not control our biology; that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts. His research is being hailed as a major break through, showing that our bodies can be changed as we retrain our thinking. His research proves what new thought movement has been saying forever.

11. Og Mandino

I started with his first book the year it was printed and have read and studied every book he published. Og Mandino is one of the most widely read inspirational and self-help author in the world today. One of the things that makes him so different is that he writes in parables, and his stories contain great lessons. His books have sold more than 25 million copies in 18 languages.

12. Lynne McTaggart

The force is with us, even if mainstream science is taking its time to get up to speed in acknowledging it. Fortunately, as UK-based scientific-medical writer Lynne McTaggart highlights in "The Field," frontier scientists have been performing experiments that prove the reality of a realm that hitherto had been the domain of Eastern mystics, and Western witches who met their demise at the stake. The vast scope of this book lifts the veil on a state of being that is our birthright.

13. Ramtha - The Ancient School of Wisdom - JZ Knight

JZ Knight, JZK Publishing, a division of JZ Knight, Inc.

"Ramtha teachings address the fundamental questions about human existence and the human person, our destiny and origins, good and evil, the soul, death and life, the world, our relationship to others, and the nature of space, time and the fabric of reality." (From the Introduction pages from Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, The Ancient School of Wisdom.) Ramtha teaches an incredible mixture of science and spirituality; quantum mechanics and the human condition. His work has had a great influence on my life.  JZ Knight is the only channel of Ramtha the Enlightened One and one of the most charismatic leaders of the Schools of Ancient Wisdom and the Great Work in the world today. She is also the President of JZK, Inc., chairwoman of the JZ Knight Humanities Foundation, the head of JZK Publishing, and The Outback Boutique. She is a brilliant woman who is much loved for her genius and her courage in speaking about her unique experiences with Ramtha.

14. Anthony Robbins

Tony Robbins is an expert in peak performance and one of the worlds foremost motivational speakers. He coaches many professional athletes and works with major organizations in empowering employees. I have attended many of his seminars, walked on hot coals, and own all of his tapes and books. He has had a huge impact on my life and I learned that I can use my mind to overcome anything I choose to.

15. Don Miguel Ruiz

Don Miguel Ruiz wrote a beautiful and simple book called "The Four Agreements" that I share with others often, to empower their lives. He was raised by a Shaman in Mexico and teaches the ancient Toltec wisdom. His book, "The Voice of Knowledge" is deeply profound in understanding our belief systems and our personality. Don Miguel Ruiz has a simple and down to earth way of imparting this ancient Toltec wisdom and I highly recommend his works.

16. Jose Silva - Founder of Silva Mind Control

In 1978, I enrolled into a five day training with Silva Mind Control. I was introduced to the skills of using the power of the mind for any part of my life; spiritual, mental, physical, and wealth. The training anchored into me and confirmed the idea that whatever I believe creates that reality.

17. Baird T. Spaulding

Baird T. Spalding's teaching was a mixture of Taoism, early Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity. He was an opponent to Mysticism and Theosophy and those Christian Sects who denied that man was Divine. He said that the people he knew in the Far East said, it was a heresy to accept man as less than Divine. His 6 book series, "Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East" has forever changed my life. (I want to meet these guys from the Far East.)

18. The New Thought Movement

Phineas Parkhurst Quimby (1802-1866) is the father of the New Thought Movement. In 1915 the International New Thought Alliance (INTA) was organized with the idea of to motivate individuals and organizations to practice a positive life-style of spiritual maturity. It's purpose was to teach people to come into a realization of the their own divinity, so that out of the sublimity of our souls we can say, “I and the Father are one”. There are hundreds of individuals who fit the purpose of INTA and have literally changed the world paradigm of science and religion with their books and teachings. To mention a few:  Ralph Waldo Emerson, Phineas Parkhurst Quimby, Warren Felt Evans, William James, Thomas Troward, Earnest Holmes, James Allen, Christian Larson, Orison Swett Marden, Ralph Waldo Trine, Joseph Murphy. Some of the contemporaries; Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Don Miguel Ruiz, Gary Zukav. The authors and teachers of the New Thought Movement has had a profound influence on my own personal paradigm of living and teaching.

19. Thomas Troward

Troward was one of the early teachers of mental science and had a profound effect on the development of spiritual metaphysics. Troward's teachings are regularly taught in Science of Mind classes. His books have given me great insight and I enjoy reading them over and over.

20. What the Bleep Do We Know - Movie and Book (William Arntz - Besty Chasse - Mark Vincente)

I happened in by accident (of course there are no accidents) to this incredible movie in a theater in Boise, Idaho and it had a huge impact on my direction in life. Linn and I had taken some personal time away from training and had been reading and searching for more. I had used much about Quantum Physics in my trainings clear back from about 1995 on, and when I saw this movie it motivated me to get back in the saddle, so to speak, and start training again. The book is a wonderful compilation of knowledge and questions to inspire deep reflection and I would recommend to anyone - buy both the DVD and the book for your library.

21. Stephen Wolinski

His work rests on a simple but profound truth: the way the universe works contains important lessons in how the human mind functions. Dr. Wolinsky applies the lessons of modern physics to psychology in an original, practical, and thrilling way. His experience and discoveries drags psychology, kicking and screaming perhaps, into the twentieth-century science – a development that is long overdue. His work is a guide in taking the quantum field into a new psychology which is simple, quick and powerful behavioral science. His books have been a profound influence in creating Quantum Life Changes.
